How do Electronic Shelf Labels (ESLs) work?
ESL Systems use a combination of electronic displays and wireless communication to update price information. Labels are connected to a central database and allow for instant price changes and product information updates. They can be managed from a central location making it easy to update pricing simultaneously across multiple stores or departments.
How long do ESL batteries last?
Our ESLs feature an improved battery lifespan of up to 10 years which greatly reduces precious labour needed for battery replacement and reduces environmental impact caused by battery disposal. Factors that influence battery life include; storage and operating temperatures, frequency of updates and LED flashlight use.
What happens in the case of power failure or a disconnected network?
If a power or network failure occurs, our ESLs retain the most recent data.
Do ESL support multiple languages?
Yes, DIGI ESL systems support multiple languages and is dependent on database output.
